QUICK NEWS: Musk's PAC Targets Swing States with Controversial Ads

Elon Musk and other tech executives are backing Donald Trump's presidential campaign with a social media ad blitz. Musk is using his platform, X (formerly Twitter), to promote Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris, the likely Democratic nominee. His America PAC is also collecting data from key swing states that could influence the 2024 election.

A recent Google ad aimed at Michigan voters features a dramatic video of an assassination attempt on Trump, followed by a prompt to register to vote via the America PAC website. While users in non-battleground states like California are directed to state voter registration pages, those in swing states such as Pennsylvania or Georgia are led to elaborate personal information forms. After entering their details, these users are simply thanked, without receiving help with voter registration.

The America PAC, which has invested over $800,000 in digital ads targeting critical swing states, is a key part of Musk's strategy. With a net worth exceeding $235 billion and control of X, Musk has emerged as a major player in the 2024 election through his substantial social media and PAC resources.
