NATO's Steadfast Defender 2024: Mobilizing Forces Across Land, Sea, and Air
NATO's swift-response force, tasked under Steadfast Defender 2024, deployed to Poland via road, rail, sea, and air, marking NATO's largest exercise in decades.
The Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), led by the UK, includes personnel from nine NATO Allies: Albania, Hungary, Latvia, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Spain, and Turkey.
These troops, part of exercise Brilliant Jump 2024, rapidly mobilized to Polish training grounds within days, engaging in the Polish-led exercise Dragon 2024, focused on repelling a simulated invasion.
